From October 20-21st, Las Vegas wasn’t just for those seeking nightlife and bright lights. It also played host to the Money20/20 hackathon at the Venetian, where participants were able to show how they’d shape the future of money. Flashback to August 1-2nd of 2015. That was the first time we met Obed and Tope, the creators of SocialCapital. The product was born at Capital One’s SmallBizDev hackathon in San Francisco, and from that moment these guys have been (as people keep saying about them) killing it. We talked to Tope about their journey from hackathon project, to HACKcelerator grads, to TechStars.
Check it out, and stayed tuned to SocialCapital, they’ve got great stuff in the works!
Remember Testlio? Well they're one of our favorite teams to ever come from an AngelHack hackathon (London 2013) and have been killing it ever since. They even helped open up our 2015 Global Demo Day!
Let’s go back in time, to the end of July 2015, AKA the end of AngelHack’s Eighth Global Hackathon series: AH8 Silicon Valley. Always the culminating event of any AngelHack series, the Silicon Valley event is our largest, and there’s always some great talent that emerges. One standout team was Rydr.
Why are they special? Not only did they win the local Clusterpoint prize (dem Apple Watches though..), but they walked away with Clusterpoint’s Grand Prize of $10k. Read on to find out why.

We live for a good AngelHack success story and, who doesn’t love a good love story? Bringing us both from AngelHack’s Fourth Global Hackathon Series is Testlio; a team of two awesome developers, Kristel Vlidik and Marko Kruustuk (pictured below in their first moments of glory after winning AH4 London, 2012).
